Hearing

Healthy hearing is an important part of overall well-being. That’s why the Plan covers hearing care—including exams and hearing aids—for you and your covered dependents, when you use a TruHearing network provider.

Highlights

Hearing care services are administered by TruHearing. You must use a TruHearing provider to receive a plan benefit. Services are covered only when you call TruHearing and receive pre-authorization for care.

The Plan will pay for a hearing aid for each ear once every 36 months for enrolled adults and once every 12 months for enrolled children under age 19. No deductible applies.

Benefits include a 36-month supply of batteries for your hearing aid(s), if necessary. One pack of 80 batteries (per ear) will be provided when you receive your hearing aids, if necessary; thereafter, TruHearing will mail replacement batteries directly to your home. Batteries are only sent to you if you use an TruHearing provider for your hearing aids.
